Sandhurst Division Basketball

The Senior Boys and Girls Basketball teams both had a great day at the Sandhurst Division Basketball Tournament. Both teams were both in the running to make the finals coming up to their final games but unfortunately beaten. They all should be very proud with the Boys winning four games, drawing one and losing one, while the girls won 5 out of their 7 games. A big thanks to Billsey Maher and Pete Allan for doing an amazing job coaching the teams and to Belinda Eddy for assisting with the scoring.

On Monday we had 30 students from grades 3-6 represent the school at the CGS Division Athletic Championships. The students competed against the best athletes from across Central Victoria. German Specialist Program

Poetry Competition

This week brought to a conclusion our term long Poetry focus in German classes for  years 4 to 6. The students have translated, learnt to pronounce and recite a selected short literary acclaimed German poem. It has been quite a challenge for some and the growth in students’ speaking skills has been very pleasing. Students should be congratulated on their tenacity and preparedness to use personal learning time to achieve this goal. As announced earlier, the study has run parallel with a competition across the grades for the best video recital of a chosen poem. The winners will be announced shortly.
