News from Room 1, 3/4W.

We have been very busy this term in 3/4W. 

In Literacy we have focused on non-fiction texts all term. This has included learning about the different types (newspaper, brochures, information reports, autobiographies, to name a few) and their features (headings, subheadings, graphs, contents page, glossary, quotes, etc.) We explored these in both Reading and Writing.

Over two weeks, we wrote, edited and published articles which Miss Wadley turned into a class newspaper.

In Mathematics we have been focusing on fractions. We have done lots of exploring through different activities. This included Miss Wadley breaking out her extra special Ooshies. 

This was to explore the fraction of a collection of objects.
