Principal News

Dear Sacred Heart School Community,

We keep in our thoughts and prayers those people within our community who are facing the devastation of floods. May their resilience be a source of inspiration to us all.

Visual Art Show

Thank you to all our families who attended the Visual Art Show on Wednesday evening. It was invigorating to see so many parents, grandparents, guardians etc,  viewing their children's creative and imaginative pieces of visual art. It was a special night with our students taking great delight in sharing their artwork and that of their peers with their very impressed elders.

Congratulations to our Year Five student Enock who guessed the correct number of jelly beans in the guessing competition.

Adam Saad Cup

Congratulations to the ten Year Five and Year Six students who represented our school in the Adam Saad Cup on Wednesday at Latrobe University. Our school competed against four other mixed gender teams in modified AFL type games. Our Year Six student Joshua won the long kicking competition with a huge kick of over 30 metres. The day was thoroughly enjoyed by all our students with its emphasis on participation and fun.

Sacred Heart Primary School Family Disco

The School Dinner Dance which we are now calling the Sacred Heart Family Disco is fast approaching. The Parents and Friend's group continue to work hard in preparation for the event.

As mentioned in our last newsletter, our mothers Prem and Cettina have organised the ticketing process for the event and I would like to express my gratitude for all their work. Please be aware that the only way to book tickets is by using the link below. Tickets cannot be purchased via the office. If you are having difficulty navigating the "Humanitix" link, do not hesitate to contact me and I will ensure either Prem or Cettina will make time to help you with the booking of tickets process.

To book tickets you need to:

Go to

https://events.humanitix.com/family-disco-2022-sacred-heart-school-preston

Then complete the details required, which are your name, number of tickets required, payment method.

There will be 10 people per table. After you have booked your tickets, please fill in the seating arrangement form that is in the reception area. Please also indicate on this form who you would like to sit with. If you do not specify who you would like to sit with, this will be done for you by the Parents and Friend's Committee.

Auction Items

As of Monday, you will be able to place a bid on the magnificent auction items as they will be placed in the school office area. Each item will have a bidding sheet. On the night of the Family Disco, there will be an opportunity to place last bids with winning bids announced on the night. All proceeds from these items and a raffle on the night will go towards our school.

The music on the night of the auction is going to be supplied by one of our former students Jai Parekh who is also the cousin of Year Six student Ria. We really thank Jai for donating his services for our school community. There promises to be lots of great dance music on the night.
