Rowville Primary School’s Division Athletics Success

Well done to all of our nineteen students from Year Three to Six who recently competed in the Knox Division Athletics Championships.

 

Congratulations to the following students on their great performance, finishing 3rd in their respective events: 

 

James (10 Year Boys high jump), Cooper (12 Year Boys triple jump) & Evangelina (12 Year Girls shot put).

 

A huge congratulations to the following athletes on their outstanding success, finishing 1st in at least one of their events and now Division Champions. These athletes have now qualified for the Eastern Metropolitan Region Athletics Championships next week:

11 Year Boys Relay Team: 

Tony 

Jordan - also 3rd in the 11 Year Boys 800m 

Ashton – also 2nd in the 11 Year Boys hurdles and qualifying for the Region event 

Bronn – also 2nd in the 11 Year Boys triple jump and 1st in the 11 Year Boys high jump in which he has qualified in for the Region event.

 

 

 

A very special congratulations to Tyson, who not only was Division Champion in the 12 Year Boys high jump and the 12 Year Boys long jump, finishing in first place in both events, but has been selected in the School Sport Victoria State Athletics team in the high jump and will be representing Victoria in the National Championships in Brisbane in November.

What an outstanding achievement Tyson!
