 Division Athletics Information

The date was October 10th, 2022. The day Haylee competed in Division Athletics for discus and the day when Max competed in Division for sprints and shot put.

Division Athletics is for the people who have done the best in a certain sport and Numurkah Primary School sent two amazingly skilled students to compete. 

In shot-put, Max gave it his all and came first, now he will compete in the regional final in Albury. In sprints, Max was fast but two others were faster so he came away with a green ribbon for third place. Max told this reporter that he was nervous at the start of the day and did not think he would do very well – he certainly proved himself wrong and was proud of his efforts, and those of his fellow competitors.

Haylee was initially a little lost in the big Division arena, but felt comfortable once she had found some friends. Haylee threw well in the discus, taking third place in a tough competition. She was relatively happy with her efforts but felt she could have thrown better on the day.

Congratulations to both Numurkah Primary students for excelling and coming home with ribbons from the Division competition. We wish Max all the best at the Regionals.
