Division Play-Offs

Congratulations to the Girl's Netball team and their parent coach, Lyn Whitaker who competed in the Division Netball finals at Jells Park Netball center late last term. In their pool, they finished 2nd with every game being decided by less than 4 goals. In the Semi-final they were beaten by St John’s Primary School in Mitcham, who went on to win the final. The girls played off for 3rd place and won that game against a team that had beaten them earlier in the day.

Bennett Shield

In Term 3 the Grade Five and Six children have been involved in a range of sports, competing for the Bennett Shield. Each week mixed teams represented their House in games against other Houses each Friday morning, receiving points for each game won.

In Term 3 we played Netball, Rounders, and fun games like Cannonball and Skittles.

District and Division Athletics Carnivals

Last term on Thursday 8th September over 50 children from Grades 3-6 represented our School in a range of Athletics events including some fun events such as Tunnel Ball and Shuttle Relay at Bill Sewart Athletics Track in Burwood East. Our 9/10 boys and girls won their event and together with other children who won their individual events, qualified for the Division Athletics Carnival.

This was held last Thursday, so congratulations to those children who represented our District. The 9/10 boys won the 4x100m relay and now go on to the Regional Athletics Carnival and the 9/10 Girls 4x100m relay team finished 3rd in a photo finish.
