From the Principal's Desk
Welcome Back!
Welcome back to Term Two! We trust everyone had a very relaxing holiday and a very Happy Easter.
We have many exciting events and learning experiences planned for the term including Confirmation, First Communion, Mothers' Day celebrations, School Athletics Carnival, excursions, incursions, Interschool Sport and the Learning Expo at the end of term.
Applications for Prep 2020
We encourage all exisiting families who have a child commencing school next year to submit their enrolment forms as soon as possible. We are commencing Prep interviews next week.
Corpus Christi Website
Over the past few months our school website has been undergoing re-development by Miss Debbie, with some very careful guidance and input from Mr Hyde!
We expect that the new website will go live early next week. Details for obtaining our School App will be provided in the coming weeks. Please note that our current website is not available this week.
Student Portfolios
We trust that you were able to make time over the holidays to celebrate your child's learning by exploring their Student Portfolio. Please return portfolios to school this week (with the Parent Comment section complete) so that we can continue to compile many more wonderful work samples.
Timetable Changes for Term 2
Please note the days for PE classes this term. Children will need to wear their sports uniforms on the following days:
Prep G and Prep N: Monday and Tuesday
Yr 1/2B: Wednesday and Thursday
Yr 1/2C and 1/2H: Tuesday and Wednesday
Yr 3/4L, 3/4S and 3/4Z: Monday and Tuesday
Yr 5/6C, 5/6S and 5/6W: Thursday and Friday
Sacrament of Confirmation
This Sunday, 28th April, our Year 6 students will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. Please keep the Confirmation candidates in your prayers as they prepare to take the next step in their faith journey:

PFA News
Happy Easter and welcome back, we trust you all had a great break!
Firstly we’d like to thank everyone for their generous chocolate donations that not only made our Easter Raffle at the end of Term 1 a whole lot of fun but a huge success. Through the sale of raffle tickets a whopping $1303 was raised. These funds will go towards fitting out the amazing new CCK library that the whole school community will be able to enjoy for many years to come!!
With Term 2 upon us, it's time to get into Mothers' Day mode.... The PFA will be holding its annual Mothers' Day Breakfast before school on Friday 10th May along with a Mothers' Day Stall the same morning but in the mean time we will need to organise this event along with several other activities for the year ahead, so please do come along with your bright ideas and helping hands to our next meeting:

School Closure Days: Staff Professional Development Days
Pleaes note that the following days are scheduled Professional Development Days for the staff. Children do not attend school on these days:
Term 2: Tuesday 4th June
Term 3: Monday 12th August
Term 4: Monday 4th November
Staff News
We extend our sincere condolences to our Art teacher, Mrs Nathalie Fraser, whose mother passed away just before the holidays. Please keep Nathalie and her family in your prayers during this difficult time.
This week Mrs Nives Childs and Miss Haylea Anderson are on leave. The children in Prep N are being taught by Mrs Karly McGregor and the children in Year 1/2H are being taught by Miss Renee Avery (Tuesday and Wednesday) and Mrs Nathalie Fraser on Friday.
Next week Signora Catrina Anderson will commence Long Service Leave for five weeks. In her absence Signora Karly McGregor will be replacing Signora Anderson. We wish Catrina and her family a safe and wonderful time on their travels.
