Sustainability Corner
The Committee have met twice this term and we are working through our priorities and areas of work for this year regarding which sustainability foci will be most impactful for our school.
This may include our energy consumption, and projects utilising the productive & Italian gardens and the, student voted, Indigenous garden. We are looking forward to continuing working with Student Leaders of the sustainability group and working with Alicia Cook from 5/6 in creating resourcing to bring to the teacher group .
The Quiz Night is on our minds already in how we can improve our waste management practices and we have some BIG POINTS to be won for tables who demonstrate really solid waste reduction practices. Watch this space and know that it’s not just our intellect that will be awarded this year 😉!
Oh and one final thing : Make sure you sink into the pleasure of every single chocolate egg that you and your family consume over this weekend.
And maybe you can make it a FAMILY FOCUS to remember that for the foil wrapping to be recycled it must be scrunched up with all the other wrappers into fist sized balls and popped in that yellow bin - please pass this simple and important tip on to ensure the waste of Easter is ACTUALLY recycled.
Enjoy your school holidays and we’ll see you in Term 2.
