Video Games For Good:Team building through project based learning

This week, a group of Grade 6 students will begin to plan an exciting STEM project.

The main aim of this STEM project is to assist in creating a positive, collaborative atmosphere where students are able to challenge themselves through a range of hands-on activities.

There are a small number of Grade 6 students who are involved in this project working alongside Mr Michael Fitzsimmons, our STEM teacher. This aim is for the six students to build two separate arcade machines for the school.

The project seeks to empower students to feel like they are able to make mistakes and take risks across a range of differing curriculum based tasks while being supported by each other and the facilitator. While also being able to work with students they might not normally work with engaging  in a communal goal.

We are looking forward to hearing more about this STEM project throughout the term.
