Welcome back music lovers! We are looking forward to another exciting year in music.
Rehearsals and lessons will commence on Monday, 10 February.
The rehearsal times for our ensembles are:
Senior Concert Band Monday 3.30pm - 5.30pm
Intermediate Concert Band Tuesday 3.30pm - 5pm
Junior Concert Band Thursday 3.30pm - 4.45pm
Senior Stage Band Thursday 3.30pm to 5.30pm
Intermediate Stage Band Wednesday 3.30pm - 5pm
Students who have not yet collected a re-enrolment form will need to do so this week.
New students in Years 8 – 12 who are interested in joining our band program are very welcome. Just come along to the Music Centre and we will get you started.
Year 7 Training Band Information and Recruitment Night
Over the coming weeks the Music Department will visit all Year 7classes to explain to them how to get involved in the music program. This will culminate in a Parent Information Night which will be held in the Music Centre on Wednesday, 12 March. Please see our flyer elsewhere in the newsletter.

Year 7 Training Concert Band Information and Recruitment Night
Frankston High School Music Centre
Wednesday, 12 March, 7:30pm
Year 7 students interested in joining our exciting band program and learning to play a musical instrument are invited to attend our Information and Recruitment Night which will be held in the Music Centre on Monday, 12 March at 7:30pm.
Our Training Concert Band is for students who have had little or no musical experience and we are offering tuition on flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, french horn, euphonium and percussion.
On the night we will provide information on how our program works, and give a recommendation on which is the best choice of instrument for you to play. We will also have a performance from our Junior Concert Band.
Don’t forget that all students must be accompanied by a
parent or adult representative.
Parking will be available on the Junior School basketball courts.
