ANZAC Day Services

This week’s ANZAC Day Dawn Service was a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by Australians and New Zealanders in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations. I was deeply moved to be part of this ceremony along with our School Captains to commemorate those who served and died. Later in the morning our musicians and students were part of the ANZAC Day Troop March and Commemorative Service. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to our Pipe Band for their outstanding performance. Their solemn effort added to the atmosphere and their commitment was greatly appreciated. As we reflect on the contributions and suffering of all those who have served let us remember the families and loved ones left behind.

Host Families for Exchange Programme

Student Exchange Australia New Zealand is looking for families to host some students who are arriving in May 2023 from France. Most of the students are 15 or 16 years of age and eagerly hoping to find a place to stay. Can your family, or do you know any families who would be happy to welcome a wonderful student in their home? They will arrive in Australia on 27 May and will depart to go home to France on 19 August. As they are on Tourist Visas, students need to be hosted by private/semi-private schools paid for by their organisation.  If you have any further questions or are interested in hosting a student, please email naomi.cooper@gsg.wa.edu.au and she will provide you with the list of students and their interests/statements for you to choose from.
