Creating stencil propaganda posters

As part of the Northcote Model, The Art of Revolution, our Year 9 and 10 students learn about Propaganda posters throughout time and some of the artists who created them. Students also learn about different stencil artists such as Banksy, Shepard Fairey, Mr Brainwash and Space Invader, and the way they created their work. They then go on to delve into a current social issue that they are passionate about, design a number of sketches and come up with a final stencil which translates their message.
