Student Reports
With the reports coming out next week it is a timely to talk about how to best use the report to support your child's continued growth - academically, socially and emotionally.
There is so much more to school than the three R's. Apart from the more traditional academic areas, your child is learning how to problem solve, cooperate, negotiate, collaborate, manage complex social situations and regulating emotions - they can't do any of these without the guidance and understanding of all the adults around them - parents and teachers.
The reports are an important formal communication between teachers, parents and students that provide feedback on their achievements over the semester and a comment on areas for future learning.
I have attached an article by Michael Grose for parents discussing how to talk to your children about their report.
If parents would like to discuss their child's report, please contact your child's teacher. Interviews will be held at the end of Term Three.
