Dear Parents and Carers
Please note that weekly Parish mass times will now be located each week on our School Hours / Timetable page in our newsletter.
It has been an amazing week of learning and experiencing the Top End's culture and people. Today's prayer is inspired by my experiences this week.
Prayer for healing country
God, Our Healer
May all Creation, the birds, animals, fish, trees, plants, rocks, mountains, waters, and peoples be healed to flourishing. Strengthen us, lead us, inspire us into action, ignited by our faith in you Lord Jesus.
Help us not to lose Hope.
For it is only through justice, forgiveness and Love
can there be Healing and Peace.
Amen.
Please save the date for the Father's Day Breakfast on Friday 1st September. This will be from 7.30am. More details to come.
Our Year Level newsletters will be available to all families tomorrow via email. These newsletters are provided each term so that you are able to get a sense of what your children are learning throughout the term and can complement that learning through discussions and additional inquiry at home. Sometimes the discussions you have in the home, around the dinner table, can really help a child make better sense of what they are learning in the classroom. Many children are more comfortable asking their parents questions that they would not raise in the classroom. Take this opportunity to familiarise yourself with your child's Inquiry topic, their Maths focus and what they are doing in other areas of the curriculum.
On Wednesday, 19th July, our Grade Six girls competed in the Netball School Champions Competition at the Waverley District Netball Association in Ashwood. We entered two teams on the day and both teams competed within the same fixture of games. Our teams competed in five matches throughout the day and displayed many great feats of netball. Our teams were able to secure one win across the day and competed valiantly throughout each game. Overall, it was a great day and a wonderful event for our students to be a part of.
A big thank you to Lauren Day and Clare Lorenz for all your hard work managing the team. Our girls would not have been able to participate in the terrific day without your support. Thank you to all the parents who volunteered to carpool and take our girls to and from the event. A big thank you to Georgia for all her support in preparation and for coaching on the day.
