Kylie Carter - Business Manager
What is the best thing about working at Kismet Park?
Meeting everyone who comes into admin whether they are students, parents, staff or contractors.
Do you have a favourite author/book? Why is it your favourite?
I have so many favourite books and authors for all different reasons. As a child I loved Hellen Keller and Charlotte’s Web and still have my copies.
What are your hobbies?
Camping, travelling, walking our dogs and barracking for the Hawks
If you could only eat 1 meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
My family would say chocolate but it would be an Asian dish of some sort fresh with lots of fresh ingredients and flavours.
If you were a superhero, what powers would you have?
For everyone to have somewhere to have enough food to eat, a warm place to live and to feel safe.
Deb Wight - Office Administration
Deb is currently on leave. Deb has worked as part of the administration team for 14 years at Kismet Park Primary School.
Deb is a mad Carlton supporter, loves watching cooking shows and she loves to entertain her friends with her cooking prowess. Deb loves to read her magazines and she has travelled the world.
Deb still loves working at Kismet Park PS as part of the admin team. She has made many connections with students, staff and families.
Simone King - Office Administration
What is the best thing about working at Kismet Park?
The great bunch of kids I get to work with and see every day, plus the amazing staff. I'm so lucky to be able to see the students I began working with as preps way back in 2016, graduate from primary school this year. I will miss them all!!
Do you have a favourite author/book? Why is it your favourite?
All books are my favourite! I love the Harry Potter series (I cant tell you how many times I've read them all). I also have a soft spot for Julia Donaldson - I have read all of her books to both of my boys and they love her as much as I do.
What are your hobbies?
I like playing netball, going to the gym and also spending time with my two boys.
If you could only eat 1 meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Anything chocolate!
If you were a superhero, what powers would you have?
Teleportation - I could be visiting the pyramids in Egypt one minute then off to the Eiffel Tower in Paris next!
Davina Rowell - First Aid Coordinator
What is the best thing about working at Kismet Park?
The amazing staff members I work with that have now become friends. I also love seeing the kids grow and develop as they move through their school years.
Do you have a favourite author/book? Why is it your favourite?
Ninja Kid book collection by Anh Do. This is my favourite because I have read the whole collection with my son and we both love them all.
What are your hobbies?
Walking / Hiking, Camping, Gardening and adventures with my boys 4wd and biking. I am also well known for my obsession with cleaning and so I think id call that a hobby too… lol!
If you could only eat 1 meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
My mums home-made cheese and onion pie, with pickled red cabbage and hot chips. Followed by her home made date and walnut cake with vanilla ice cream.
If you were a superhero, what powers would you have?
I’d love the power to teleport and fly so that I could get to the UK in an instant to be with my family… and then get back home to Australia super quick!
Nicky Gallus - School Chaplain
What is the best thing about working at Kismet Park?
Getting to know the students, parents and teachers. I like hearing their stories, ohhh and having a key to the art room cupboard.
Do you have a favourite author/book? Why is it your favourite
I'm inspired by books on artists such as Ben Quilty, Andy Goldsworthy, David Hockney, JP Gin, John Olsen, Adam Lee, Annie Leibovitz, Del Kathryne Barton and my latest JR "Giants OG Rio. Love how they use art to bring communities together.
What are your hobbies?
Art, drawing, painting, photography, building things out of wood (love using power tools). Art allows me to express joy, sadness, excitement etc. it give me time to slow down my thinking and be present. A lot of new exciting thoughts come when you are still.
If you could only eat 1 meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
I usually say KFC, it is the thought of KFC that is more appealing than the eating of it, so I think after more consideration I would choose my mums roast followed by banana custard.
If you were a superhero, what powers would you have?
I like Doctor Strange's power where you can make a circle with your arms/hands and create a doorway into another part of the world/universe and just step into it. I don't like sitting on planes for long periods of time.

Rachel Treasure is my favourite author, Because she reminds me of my best friend from Ag Collage

Horse Riding, Netball, Basketball and Tennis
