Prep News

Term 3, Week 4

Prep Reminders:

  • On Friday the 12th of August, the Prep's will have a visit from the Responsible Pet Program. We will be learning about responsible pet ownership and how to live safely with dogs. Please keep provide consent via Compass Event where for this free event.
  • Repeat reminder: In Term 4, we are taking up an additional opportunity with an extra excursion to the Capital Theatre to see Pevan and Sarah Live. We use Pevan and Sarah videos to supplement our learning and we can't wait to see them in person! We decided to take up this opportunity of the additional excursion, hoping that the extra notice will be enough to make this possible. The other planned excursions and incursions that will incur a cost for the rest of the year are: Ballarat Wildlife Park at the end of Term 3 ($51), The Blurbs at the end of Term 3 ($7) and our Swimming Program at the end of Term 4 (between $10-$60, depending on government funding and grants; in the past our swimming program has been heavily funded with government grants). We are expecting the Pevan and Sarah excursion to cost around $25, depending on the cost of the bus.

What we have been up to...

100 Days of School

We had a very exciting day on Tuesday, celebrating our 100th day of school! We had some lovely oldies join us for the day, luckily their ageing only lasted one day!

The day was full of fun and excitement.  We had a parade to show our buddies our wonderful outfits, made hats, went on a number hunt to find 100 numbers, popped balloons on a quest to make 100 movements, thought of 100 words and found 100 words that rhymed.
