Outside School Hours Care

 We have been very busy at Outside School Hours Care lately. We have celebrated NAIDOC week with a variety of activities. NAIDOC Week celebrates the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. 

We have been focusing on student voice by the children choosing what activities they want to do and helping to plan the weekly menu. This helps children develop confidence, learn new skills, make friends and become more independent. Their choices have been fantastic!! Lots of sensory play, cooking or creating meals, arts and crafts and outside play. Footy, dodgeball and a vortex game have been the main games of choice for the children. 

The older children have been helping some of the F/1 children in the mornings by listening to the younger children read and also playing simple games to help with their reading as well. This is creating wonderful relationships among the students. Great Job everyone! 😊

What Can OSHC do?

OSHC can create a space for children to feel a sense of belonging. It can help improve social skills, provide academic support, help make learning more fun, provide safety and supervision and to help build each child’s confidence. OSHC can also expose children to new interests at school and outside of school. 

Important OSHC Reminders

• Absences: Contact the OSHC Service through the front office or call / text Reana on 0488945113 if your child will be absent.

• Children are to be picked up by authorized contacts only.

• Before School Care: If you wish to have an emergency spot, please ring/text Reana or contact the Front Office on 03 5494 3011

• SIGN IN / OUT SHEET is located inRoom 6. Please sign your children in and out.
