The Arts
Explore Dance Performance
Our Explore students taking Dance this term have been focusing on hip hop with Ms McRae, and some of the staff and students were lucky enough to watch them perform last week in their mega-crew.
The students were able to pick their costumes and music as part of the course and danced their hearts out for a huge audience in the Rivergum Performing Arts Centre.
Advanced Dance Performance
Not to be left out, our Advanced Dance students from our Enhance program also performed their hip hop routine in a mega-crew. The crowd went wild for the cool lighting changes and the fancy footwork!
Street Art - Harmony Day and Diversity Week
To acknowledge two recent calendar items, Harmony Day and Diversity Week the Street Art class took advantage of dryer, sunnier weather and expressed these themes in chalk painting near the Maker Space. The students' designs show visual symbols, imagery and text relating to living in peace and harmony. Some also make reference to cultural diversity.
Pasifika Choir
Hampton Park Secondary College has been lucky enough to once again be included in the Pasifika Choir for the Victorian State School Spectacular.
Some students and staff from Narre Warren P-12 paid us a visit to show is what the choir is all about.
Plenty of our students signed up, and have now attended their first group rehearsal at Narre Warren P-12.
Keep a lookout on our Facebook page for more photos and videos of their progress!
