SRC Representatives

Hello to all from the student leadership team! We are happy to announce that as of next week, we are introducing a new leadership group, SMAD! SMAD stands for Students Making A Difference, and is open to anyone and everyone in the school who is interested in helping us make a huge impact in the community. SMAD is hoping to work in harmony with the staff and students to better our school, our community, and hopefully our world! In our recent leadership meetings, we have been brainstorming and discussing some different ideas we have for SMAD to help us improve the school. Some of these ideas include:

• Relaxing uniform rules, (allowing jackets over tops, full day sport uniform, etc.)
• More multicultural events (food expos, learning about different celebrations, etc.) 
• More leadership opportunities (one of which is SMAD!)
• Student involved curriculum (having a say in what YOU learn!)
• Implementation of clubs/student run activities (wellbeing-based, performing arts, etc.)
• More charity work/fundraising (food drives, volunteer work, etc.)

 If you are interested in joining SMAD keep an eye out for posters around the school, or on your compass newsfeed! There will be SRC representatives from years 7-9 going into classes and providing more info as of next week. We encourage you to help us spread the word, and come join us!
