Clean up Australia Day 

Successful VCAL community event

On Sunday the 1 March, the Northcote High School Year 11 VCAL students ran a successful Clean Up Australia Day event. The morning ran very smoothly and had a great turnout from both teachers and the community. There was also a sausage sizzle that was prepared by the students as a thank you for all the hard work the people put in to cleaning the creek and school grounds. Certificates of participation were handed out by the VCAL students to all community volunteers. In total, nearly ten bags of rubbish were collected by our Clean Up Australia Day team. Special thanks to the teachers who gave up their Sunday morning to improve our local area and help us celebrate with a barbeque; John Scott, Diana Blyton, Hamish Ramsay, Peter Murphy, Jonathan Hoon, and Rachel Gramm. We look forward to seeing everyone at our next event!
