Mission and Ministry News

It is with great pleasure that at the Headmaster's assembly this week we were able to present MATES certificates and badges to 85 students. MATES (Marists Are Taking Everyone Seriously) is about more than just the program that exists but the way of being Marist in the world. Treating all with respect and dignity. Congratulations to all the boys and we look forward to working with the students in Term 4 to bring MATES alive – COVID style.

September 14: Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross

There is no greater love than to give one’s life for the loved one. Jesus gave tangible proof of this by his passion and death. Every drop of blood he shed during his passion and agony on the cross speak eloquently of the depth of his love for each and every one of us. Ever since then, the cross has become the symbol of the freedom that he brought for us and the victory over the forces of evil. As Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert, Jesus was lifted up on the cross and became our salvation and life. The cross that was the instrument of humiliation and punishment has become the instrument of life and salvation. It is the powerful weapon for victory over sin and death.

Because by Your Holy Cross, You have redeemed the world.

Mary, Our Good Mother, pray for us

St. Marcellin Champagnat, pray for us

St. Mary of the Cross, pray for us

May we always remember to pray for one another.
