Student Well-being
Spotlight: Prep Community
For the last couple of weeks the Year Preps have been travelling the world during Inquiry. We have visited many fabulous places including China, USA, Ethiopia and France. We have learnt all about their culture, language, food and local attractions.
In Maths, we have been learning about Subtraction. We are experts at creating and solving subtraction stories using drawings and materials.
We have loved taking part in Weird and Wonderful Wednesdays. We have enjoyed making pasta and playing Tombola for Italian Day, skipping up a storm for Jump Off Day and created amazing tree houses for Legomaster’s Day.
What a busy and exciting term it has been!
Topic: Family Fun
Running out of ideas to keep the spirits high in your household? Here are some enjoyable activity ideas that encourage the family to operate as a team.
- Choose one song and arrange a family dance off! (This activity is big in my family!)
- Learn the basics of a new language!
- Do something as a family, to support a local charity.
- Take turns to notice three beautiful things around you, or name three things that you are grateful for.
- Bake cupcakes and decorate them as gifts for each other.
- Make a batch of cookies and deliver them to elderly neighbours in your street.
- Create a kindness box where you write complimentary and kind comments for your family members.
- Create a family bucket list of things that you would like to do these school holidays (within the restrictions of course!)
- Assemble the tent in your backyard and spend the weekend camping! The first one to use technology loses!
Stay safe and enjoy the holiday break!
