“Creativity is intelligence having fun.”  Albert Einstein

Our first Be Brave Variety Show was a dynamic showcase of student talent and passion.  Students across Year 7 and 8 performed to an audience who were thoroughly entertained with every act.  We had outstanding vocalists, dancers and performers.  Students wrote their own skits and stories that demonstrated creative flare, humour and drama.  Dancers choreographed graceful movements that told a story.  Vocalists brought their own interpretation to beautiful songs.  Musicians and performers supported and enhanced all the acts.  All of this supported by an organised backstage crew led by Ms Saunders. Thank you to Ms AG for 2 original songs and weaving the acts together so amazingly.  Another big thank you to Ms Yucel and Mrs Crane for costumes, make up and backstage support.

It was an inspiring show and students are already planning their acts for in the future.

I had the pleasure of sharing our teaching and learning journey of Beaumaris Secondary College with Probus last week.  They were extremely interested in the changes to education since their time at school.  Most of the members have been out of school for over 60 years and the eldest member was over 100.  These talks are wonderful opportunities to share the fantastic education being provided in Victorian Government Schools.

Please make sure that you have highlighted Presentation Evening on December 12 at 7pm.  This is the school communities opportunity to celebrate the achievements of our students throughout the year.  We expect the evening to conclude by 9pm at the latest.  We look forward to seeing you all there.
