Promoting Reading in 2021

Sign up for the ‘Read 21 Books in 2021’ Challenge. The Lion Library Team, in collaboration with the Literacy Team and the English faculty launched our next reading challenge. You may register online using the link below to read 21 books from the 1st December 2020 until the 1st November 2021. Drop in to the Lion Library for more information or to register in person. 

Peer Tutoring

Killara High School is continuing with our Peer Tutoring Program in 2021.

This program runs two days per week on Tuesdays and Fridays after school from 3.10 pm - 4 pm in the Library. A teacher will be present during these sessions. The types of issues that our student tutors would cover in these sessions would be:

• homework support
• any particular issues that some students may be struggling with in their subjects
• cross-curriculum support e.g. writing, reading and numeracy
