Ash Wednesday Mass

The rain meant we needed to adjust our plans for our Ash Wednesday Mass.  Whilst we were unable to have all of the students outside due to the weather, they were still able to receive the ashes.  Congratulations to our school leaders on receiving their badges.  We were happy we were able to invite the parents of our student leaders.  Our thanks to those who were able to join us. During the Mass we  commissioned our staff in their roles as facilitators of learning.  We acknowledged the importance of the work they do with parents in supporting their child's education.  Our sincere thanks to Fr Roel who works with us to make these Masses possible, and who shows understanding and flexibility when plans need to be altered.

Sacraments

Sacrament dates have now been set.  The students of St Mary's will be prepared at school, in their Religious Education time.  We are still impacted by COVID restrictions but have put a plan in place that works within current restrictions. Please remember these plans may need to be adjusted in the event of any changes.  The schedule is:

Fri 21st May 3.30-5 pm Meet the Bishop and Rehearsal - Cathedral 

Sat 22nd May 6 pm & Sun 23rd May 10 am Confirmation Masses

First Reconciliation and First Eucharist

Wed 14th July 6 pm Parent Information Night - Cathedral

Thurs 26th August First Reconciliation 9 am at school or 6 pm Cathedral

Fri 27th August First Eucharist Practice 3.30-4.30 pm

Sat 28th August 6 pm & Sunday 29th August 10 am First Eucharist Masses
