Cyndee Bautista

I recently commenced as a Mental Health Practitioner at Scoresby Secondary College and am grateful to be a part of this school community and the opportunity to work with young people and the systems surrounding them.

I have always worked in the area of youth mental health initially in a clinical setting.  It was a conversation I had with a child and adolescent psychiatrist, which for me, was a transformative experience.  She inspired me to work at a school setting acknowledging my passion in working with young people and their families.   Remembering her words in regard to schools being the ideal setting to capture young people and the range of work you can do from a prevention and early intervention space, 

I have worked with the Department of Education & Training since 2007 delivering health promotion initiatives and supporting young people and their families / carers.  In between working for Headspace Centre, Headspace in Schools and Be You. 

I must say, to this date, I am still as passionate in this area of youth mental health!!
