Farewell Outside Toilet

FAREWELL OUTSIDE TOILET BLOCK

During the Term 1 holidays, the outside toilet block is going to be knocked down ready for rebuilding later in the year. As a way to respectfully say goodbye to the building, the grade 6 JSC reps came up with an idea. The plan entails creating a mural of letters to the toilet block, then splattering paint all over them to symbolize basically saying “thanks for all your service but thank you, next.” Every class will write a letter collectively and paste them up on the walls of the building.

We would also like to invite students to write individual letters to the toilet block. You may choose to share a toilet joke, a memory or even just draw a picture. They will be pasted up on Thursday in week 8, the 18th of March so please drop them in before that at the office in the red tub. A reminder to use respectful language to avoid offending others, messages deemed disrespectful will not be included in the mural.

Here is an example: Dear Toilet Block, Thank you for all your service with the downstairs business. We hope you have a joyous second life in the Afterbathroom, perhaps you could further your service by providing angels with a place to you-know-what. Your entertainingly maintained insides, gigantic toilet paper rolls, monstrous sized sparkling personality will be missed and as well as your kind courtesies. We hope our compliments made you flush! On a more serious note...on behalf of the BNWPS students we would like to apologise for the potentially disrespectful attitude towards doing our business in your area. Particularly the incidents of smashing soggy toilet paper to your unsuspecting ceiling, as well as coating your floor in unspeakable sticky substances.Yours sincerely,The Sixes JSCPS. It may seem that we are just making toilet jokes but we are actually doing some serious business.

The final farewell celebration will be on Friday the 26th of March. For this part we would like to ask for old acrylic paint donations from the school community. You can drop off paint containers in the blue tub in Jenny and Deb’s classroom (the double classroom). All colours of paints are appreciated, house paint and large quantities super appreciated!!! We will need HEAPS. Just no spray paint please! Thank you.- The Junior School Council
