Old Collegians 

Vale Leo Gamble

It is with much sadness that we mourn the passing of Old Collegian and past teacher Leo Gamble. Leo attended the College from 1946-1952, and was Dux of the College in 1952. He then returned as a teacher at the College from 1962 before retiring in 1993.

Leo wrote about the history of St Bede’s College in his book, St Bede’s College and his McCristal Origins which was published in 2003.

Befitting Leo’s contribution to the life of the College and indeed Mentone and its surrounding area, our students formed a Guard of Honour at his funeral as a tribute to Leo and his family. May he Rest in Peace
