We congratulate and welcome the Swimming Captains for 2022, Nic Fry (Captain) and Ben Heslop (Vice-Captain)!

Meet your Captain of Boats

James Watson

Do you have any pre-game rituals? If so, what are they?

As cliché as it is, a big meal of pasta the night before with 8-9 hours of sleep. I always have my favourite Uncle Toby's Plus cereal a few hours before a game or regatta.

You can invite three guests to dinner, dead or alive, who do you chose?

Adam Sandler, Dyson Heppell and Brodie Moss.

Do you have any pets?

I have a border collie named Jhemma, a cat named Socks, and an aviary full of canaries, cockatiels and finches. My brother also takes care of a Bearded Dragon called Rocky.

Favourite quotes:

"They say you die twice. One time when you stop breathing and a second time, later on, when somebody says your name for the last time" - Banksy

Favourite subject:

Maths Specialist

Favourite movie or TV series:

The Mission Impossible series

Favourite band or musician:

At the moment it’s Spacey Jane

Who has had the most influence on you?

Mum, Dad and my TC coaches and teachers.

What advice would you give to younger students who aim to play First team?

Put in the work and you can achieve anything you set your mind to - regardless of talent or genetics. Someone who consistently strives to work harder than anyone else is someone to be feared in the sporting arena.

What is your favourite Trinity memory?

Winning at Head of the River in the 9A quads or breaking the Year 7 800m record at the 2017 Athletics Inters.
