Yr 5-6 Netball Team (The Smashers) Report

On May 24th, before the Strathmerton team arrived we did some warm- ups and half- court scratch match. When Strathmerton arrived they did a half quarter scratch match too. But then it was time for us to start the game.

We all got in our positions ready to start. The whistle blew and the ball went everywhere. It went left and it went right. It went up and it went down. This was our best quarter; we got many goals in the first quarter and we were impressed with the way we were going because they were a level up from what we usually play.

The second quarter started and we were ready for anything. We tried our best to get the ball to our side of the court and shoot a goal but I think they had that idea too. We started to throw in those low passes because these girls were tall.

It was now the third quarter and we started to get tired but we knew we could not give up. It was a hard game, it was nearly the end when Breanna got a stitch and Shaye had to take over as centre.

The fourth quarter was about to begin and we were exhausted. It ended so quickly. Strathmerton shot many goals, just enough to get to 11 while we were on 10. So they had won this time but we were still so happy with how we played.

Year 6 Netball Report

It was May 24th, the day of Winter Sports. Numurkah Primary School (The Blues), were playing against Strathmerton Primary.

Before the game began, we were worried that the team of really tall kids was who we were playing against. Thankfully, they were not our opposition, and we were so happy! By the end of the first quarter the scores were 3 to 1 our way.

In the second quarter we were starting to get tired, but we weren’t going to give up, and neither were Strathy. The scores for that quarter were 4 for Numurkah and 2 for Strathmerton.

In the third quarter we were getting really tired! We were struggling, but we worked together to get the ball down to our goal. The end of the quarter the scores were 4 for Numurkah and 1 for Strathmerton. We could tell that Strathmerton were getting really tired. It was time to make our move!

In the fourth quarter we could barely even move, we were so tired, but we fought through. The final scores were  N.P.S 14 to Strathmerton 5. We finally won!

Football Report

It was Friday 24th May and the footballers were very excited to be playing. Following the previous game, the team members felt they had a high chance of winning when they played against Strathmerton.

The game was very one-sided, with our team dominating in most areas. Many players starred, with Best on Ground being Nate Warrin, Darby Salter, Christopher Bodsworth and Zac Newby. They all showed exceptional skills throughout the game and supported their teammates.

The final score was 2.16.28 to 0.2.2 our way. We were all very happy to win, and we thank Strathmerton for playing us in this very enjoyable and exciting game.
