Koonung community excels again
A heart felt thank you to all members of the Koonung community who attended and worked so hard to transform our College environment on Saturday 28 April. The contribution from a large number of parents, students, MASH Rotary and staff members achieved a great deal.
Garden beds were weeded, dug and replanted and mulched, areas were cleaned, swept and generally tidied and the painting of the retaining wall has freshened the front of the College dramatically. The large turnout of energetic, hardworking people was an example of the strong community spirit which exists at Koonung and greatly appreciated. A special thank you goes to Cath Bennie and Peter Martin who coordinated the event and put in more than eight hours labour on the day. I would also like to thank David Winter and his project team for the donation of plants and paint which allowed us to create such improvement to our environment. David’s Bread Street Bakery of Mont Albert provided us with delicious morning tea to feed the hard workers.
