Safe Schools

CHPS Staff recently participated in Professional Development delivered by the Department of Education’s Safe Schools team.

The session focused on the following areas:

• Gender and Sexuality
• Department policy
• LGBTQI student experience
• Gender affirmation – what schools and teachers can do to support students
• Modelling inclusive language
• Responding to discriminative language
