Year 5/6 Athletics Carnival

We were fortunate to run the Year 5/6 Athletics Carnival last Friday and what a special day it was. Thank you to all that were involved in making this event happen at short notice; 5/6 teachers, ES staff, parent helpers and the leadership team. The day ran smooth due to the amazing team effort and support by all.

Our Year 5/6 students were outstanding, participating in rotational track and field events, as well as optional running events. The sportsmanship, teamwork, individual brilliance, and celebration of all results was a joy. Thank you to Mrs Embery for working hard in the weeks leading up to the event teaching and exposing students to track and field events during P.E sessions. I was so proud of every students achievements on the day and the way they embraced the challenging events.

The top two students in each age group event, will progress to District Athletics, which at this stage is scheduled for September 1st. More information regarding the day and the athletics team that will  represent MPRPS will be provided.
