Lots of things happening in P&F land, please read on for this week’s updates…

Mother’s Day Breakfast and Stall - May 12

After the wonderful feedback of the Father's Day Breakfast last year we've decided to do the same for the Mum's. Mum's deserve just as much bacon!

We will have:

Bacon & Egg Rolls

Bacon Rolls

Egg Rolls

Bircher Muesli

Juice

All cooked with love and prepared by the P&F and volunteers.

In addition we will have a Coffee Cart pumping out Coffee's at this event and the building opening. Coffee generously provided by Pandelis Plousi from Hodges Real Estate.

Official Building Opening - May 19

On the morning of the 19 May, following Mass our local member will cut the ribbon followed by a blessing of the new building by the Bishop. The P&F Team will be on hand to support with providing tea/coffee and a delicious morning treat.

OLA Scholastic Book Club!

Our school benefits every time you order from the Book Club as the school earns Scholastic Rewards which helps our school to purchase additional learning and literacy resources!

Up to twice a term, during the school year, I will send home the Book Club catalogue with a different selection of books offered for all ages. You’ll find award-winning books and bestsellers, as well as old and new favourites. I recommend them because the books span a wide range of children’s reading levels and interests and are inexpensive (some books cost as little as $3).

It is easy to order. The Book Club LOOP platform for parents allows you to pay by credit card. Your child’s order is submitted directly to school and the books will be delivered to class. You can place your child’s order at scholastic.com.au/loop or by using the LOOP app, which can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play.

Owning your own books is something special! Each order helps earn free books and teaching materials for our classroom, however there is never any obligation to order.

I know of no better way to encourage reading than to allow children to choose the books they want to read.
