Year 6 Canberra Trip

Monday 8 May - Friday 12 May

This year, Year 6 Students will visit Canberra from Monday 8 May to Friday 12 May for an educational tour of the national capital. Students will be given the opportunity to participate in a variety of educational programs with a focus on Australia’s history, culture, heritage and democracy. Information packs have been sent to families and a permission request sent to parents via Operoo. Please ensure you complete this form by Wednesday 5 April.

The Canberra Trip is an integral part of the Year 6 Primary Years Programme. The school would like to acknowledge the funding contribution from the Australian Government who recognise the importance of all young Australians being able to visit the national capital as part of their Civics and Citizenship education. The rebate, which is made under the Parliament and Civics Education Rebate program, is paid directly to the school upon completion of the excursion.

Please do not hesitate to speak to your class teacher or call the Morris Office if you have any queries at all about arrangements for the Canberra trip.
