4A

By Christine Marescaux

This week, we have introduced our new Inquiry Question for Term Two, which is “How are chemicals used in the world around us?” We have begun to tune into our prior knowledge of chemicals and begun to deepen our understanding of these. We investigated what is a chemical, how they are categorised into two factors, such as manmade and natural chemicals, and how chemicals can have a negative and positive effect on the world around us. We look forward to continuing this learning throughout the term and begin to share this learning with our families at home!!

Here are some of the cool quotes and curiosities they would like to find out this term, from 4A:

“Some chemicals have a positive effect, as long as it is used accurately and not too much, like sanitiser. If you use too much of it, it can dry your hands out”- Kyaan

“Vinegar can be used as a cleaning and cooking product”- Samihan
