Education Week
Education Week is celebrated in Victoria from Sunday 14 May to Saturday 20 May 2023. It's an annual celebration of education, a chance for students to take part in some free and fun activities and an opportunity to share what makes our school great.
This year’s theme ‘Active Learners: Move, Make, Motivate’ focuses on some of the amazing ways students learn inside and outside of the classroom through physical activity, hands-on-learning and student voice in education.
Thank you to all families who attended our Open Morning on Tuesday 16th of May and celebrated Education Week with us!
The word “tutting” is believed to have come from the name of an Egyptian pharaoh, Tutankhamen (or King Tut)
In the tutting dance, the dancers create intricate shapes with their arms and hands. Usually, these shapes resemble those found in ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics.
It also helped us remember all the shape's names in French! Students also perfected their dance moves with Maddy the dance teacher from Stomp Dance Company
Bravo les années 1/2!

I would like to highlight the amazing diligence of the students in the Maths Intervention Program. The students working in the groups explore and apply mathematical concepts linked directly to the curriculum and do so with great enthusiasm. The program, which has just started this year, has grown to 52 student’s school wide.
For Education Week I would like to share some fabulous photos of students` work.

Also, a great week of writing in 5/6 S. Well Done AT, Abdulmalik & Abdi!
