Farewell  Year 12 Justice Members

This week we said farewell to the Year 12 members of our various Justice groups; Justice, FIRE Carriers & Earth at Academy. Staff and students will miss these students’ leadership which has been marked by unwavering dedication, thoughtful words and purposeful actions and has always been embracing of all staff and students. They have been an example to us over their years at Academy of Mercy in action.

We wish our wonderful Academy Justice Captain, Yasmin Pitisano, a fond farewell with many thanks for her gentle presence, her tireless work behind the scenes to organize meetings, produce materials for awareness raising and communicate important messages to the Academy community. Of course we will also miss her beautifully packaged treats often shared with Justice Group. 

Ruth Bader Ginsburg said one should, 

’Fight for the things that you care about, but do it in a way that will lead others to join you.’ 

This is a fitting description of Yasmin’s leadership of Justice group in 2022.
