Well Done, Tanaranga Taipans!
Grand Final Game - Tanaranga Taipans vs Kambara Kings
In a rematch of Round 6 Game 1, the Taipans took on the Kings a second time to see who would take the title of House Basketball Champions.
It was a hard fought game with Kambara coming out on top for the first half by just two points. However the tables turned in the second, with Tanaranga stepping up to take a strong 6 point lead, ultimately seeing them take out the match and the series. Tanaranga established themselves early as the team to beat throughout the weekly round-robin competition. Noteworthy performances by Ethan Keenan, Eric Wilkinson and Anthony Tatchell all helped the Taipans take the victory.
Congratulations to Ethan Keenan for narrowly taking out the Mitchell Webb, Most Valuable Player Award, finishing the competition with 10 points. Congratulations also to Annie Kehoe for coming Runners-Up on 9 and not being afraid to get in and have a go.
Thank you to everyone who participated in or helped organise/score the House Basketball Competition. It provided a great opportunity to get in, have a go and have some fun, for staff and students alike.
