Inquiry Expo Term 3

The last day of Term 3 was a very exciting day at OLSC, we celebrated the inquiry learning that we had completed. It was a fantastic turn out from our families who helped us by becoming our wondering audience to share our knowledge and skills with. We thank all those who were able to attend.

Term 4 Inquiry

This term we have begun our focus on the past; history. Our preps went to the Werribee Mansion to see how life was in "the olden days," while our year five and sixes went to Sovereign Hill for camp and to begin their exploration of the Gold Rush. Sovereign Hill enlightened us to the impact of the Gold Rush on Aboriginal people, British immigrants and Chinese immigrants.

Next week our year three and four students are off to the Immigration Museum to find out where people have immigrated from and why.

Then in week five our year one and two students go to the Werribee Mansion to explore the olden days and how buildings and locations in our local area have changed over time.

NAPLAN 2022

At the end of term 3, all 2022 NAPLAN results were sent to families of year 3 and year 5 students. We would like to congratulate our students for their continued hard work and resilience in what can be a stressful time, they did a great job answering so many questions across the four tests.

NAPLAN 2023

Dates have been released for NAPLAN 2023, it will be held much earlier than previous years; 15–27 March.
