On Tuesday last week we had a visit from VVLN. The Victorian Virtual Learning Network (VVLN) is an initiative of Bendigo Senior Secondary College that delivers online VCE subjects to secondary school students across Victoria.  This year, owing to timetable clashes, we have students studying Psychology and Specialist Maths through the VVLN program and it was great for students to be able to meet their teachers face-to-face.

Thank you to Rob Hallisey, VVLN Program Manager & School Liaison Officer and to Alison Andrea, VVLN Psychology teacher & student engagement officer for making the road-trip from Bendigo to see us.

2023 National Young Leaders Day

"For many students this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be in the same room as their heroes and role models. It provides a unique opportunity for students to gather at world-class event venues to hear some of Australia’s most high profile people share insights from their own leadership journey"

VM BBQ

Our Vocational Major (VM) students raised $208 today which will go towards the purchase of new safety glasses.  They are also looking great today in their new Hard Yakka work shirts and wide-brimmed hats.  Although the money raised was below their anticipated target (you definitely know that the cost of living has gone up when you don't sell out at a school bbq), they did a great job - thank you.  Thank you also to staff Carolyn Trott and Dan Carroll for helping out at the bbq today.

TAFE DAY

Year 12 students attended the Wodonga TAFE School Experience Day on Friday 24th March. Students participated in 2 pre-selected activity sessions showcasing areas including Early Childhood Education, Building and Construction trades, Engineering, Design and Visual Arts.  The day allows students to see the vast array of qualifications and courses on offer at a TAFE level, participate in hands on practical activities and investigate future study options. TAFE also offer fantastic pathways options from Certificate and Diploma level into further University study with credit for the work already completed!  An excellent option for all students considering future study options.
