Welcome

The Weekly Edit

Thank you to the Alpine Shire for sponsoring our student executive to attend the Halogen young leaders day.   Students from around the State got to listen to inspiring speeches from famous leaders in their fields such as Amanda Johnstone, Robert Dipper, Nazeem Hassen and Candy Hertz.  Staff member Mel Janson was in attendance with our students today at the Melbourne Convention Centre and phoned in to say that "they are absolutely loving it".  See the pictures in our student news page.

Today at lunch we were treated to a delicious fundraiser BBQ by our Vocational Major (VM) students.  See the pictures and $$ made in our students page.

Thank you also to Wodonga TAFE for their TAFE School Experience Day for our Year 12 students last Friday. We have photos of our students trying out the many different hands-on activities and learning about the available study options and pathways through TAFE.

HPV (Human Powered Vehicle) try-outs are back on - check out how you can make the team in the HPV Team page.  It is an amazing opportunity for our students to take part in.  Thanks to parent Erin Angelini for popping in at lunchtime today to assist with our HPV program.

"The Program aims to:
  • Provide an excellent technology project for students from Prep to VCE level
  • Encourage young people to explore solutions to environmental and transport issues
  • Provide an opportunity for schools and communities to work and learn together
  • Provide an opportunity for women and girls to participate in what has traditionally been a ‘male’ dominated area of the curriculum
  • Be a fun program with real world challenges
  • Offer students opportunities to explore and address vehicle design, driving skills and vehicle and passenger safety issues
  •  Provide an excellent technology project for students from Prep to VCE level"
