Room 21

New Classroom Furniture - Students in Room 21 are so excited to have received new furniture. Our room now looks bright and vibrant with all the coloured desks. We are enjoying the flexible seating and options for sitting and standing within our learning environment

Room 28

We have been very busy in Room 28 during Term 1.

HASS: We have enjoyed working in groups to label a map of the world, testing our knowledge of continents, seas and oceans.

Maths: We tested our knowledge of 2D shapes, identifying them by their different attributes. We also worked in pairs to make a square out of newspaper which had an area of one square metre and a perimeter of 4m. We investigated how the perimeter changed when we made two cuts to our square to create a different shape which still had the same area. We had lots of fun with newspaper, masking tape and metre rulers.

Year 4 CREEC Excursion

The Year 4’s have had a great start to 2023.  We have been getting to know our teachers and classmates, having so much fun while learning a lot.  This year has brought many fun events and learning opportunities.

In HASS this term, we have been learning all about Australia’s First People and their connection to the land. We were very lucky to be able to visit CREEC last week.  An experienced Noongar educator showed us how the resources provided by the land and river were traditionally used by Indigenous Australians.  We also learnt how the seasons affected the availability of resources and way of life.  We hope you enjoy looking at the amazing photos of this experience and can’t wait to see what we will be learning for the rest of the year.
