Improvement Team Reports

Curriculum, Assessment & Reporting Improvement Team

Throughout, this term the Curriculum, Assessment & Reporting Improvement team have been working to oversee the developments being made throughout the college reporting and assessment practices. This work has included:

College Assessment Policy – Revisions are being made to our current Assessment policy to strengthen our processes in delivering assessment within our multi-campus school. These revisions so far have included setting guidelines for SAC lengths and SAC redemption processes.

Homework policy  - Development of a college homework policy is underway. Giving teachers, students and parents guidance on the purpose, expectations and responsibilities for the completion of homework. The policy will be published to parents in early Term 2.

We hope that parents and students have found the recent progress reports and parent teacher interviews informative and have helped families to understand their childs academic strengths, as well as inspired meaningful conversations that will promote improvement over the remaining terms.

The College 5P learning behaviours can help form a strong basis for these discussions (Present, Prepared, Productive, Persistent and Proactive).

  • You could ask your child to reflect on these learning behaviours and set some personal goals for next term.
  • You could recognise the improvements your child is making with these learning behaviours and celebrate their success.
  • You could help your child to identify how their learning behaviours are impacting their learning outcomes.
