2023

Colour, Colour everywhere…..

Our Mullum Artists have been exploring colour and Abstract Expressionism. Studies of the colour wheel have enabled us to determine primary and secondary colours and to discern tertiary colours and the ‘recipes’ used to make these colour mixes. Warm and Cool colour exploration has revealed that colours can have a temperature….Colours such as red, orange and yellow can be warm, whilst blues, greens and violets can be cool. These colour groups can help us to express a mood or an atmosphere in our artworks. Have look at what our young artists are creating at the moment….

Mr Potato Heads

Grade 2s reaction over potatoes was infectious this week! The chance to make ‘real-life’ potato heads with plasticine features caused a real explosion of excitement. Take a look at the characters created. We will continue to create more arty crafty creations with our potatoes over the next couple of weeks.
