Learning is well underway for Term 3

It would come as no surprise that the students have begun Term 3 with a bang! They were straight back into their learning as soon as we were back at school, and the teachers have been really impressed with the start to the term.

Our School Performance Leader, Mr John O'Connor, visited the school on Wednesday morning and enjoyed a walk through all of the primary classrooms. During his visit, he spoke with lots of students who were able to explain what they had been learning and also give him an overview of how things run in their classrooms and how they are able to use the resources around their room to support their learning. Mr O'Connor thoroughly enjoyed his visit, and was very complimentary to all the students and staff at St Edward's.

Year 3 have been utilising their technology skills during Guided Reading rotations this week. After reading books that have been set by their teachers on the PM eCollections website, they were able to complete specific response tasks on their Chromebooks:

Year 6 are keeping up with current affairs whilst improving their note-taking skills. Here they are watching topical news stories and completing a graphic organiser at the same time. A fantastic activity to help improve both listening, comprehending and writing skills:

Year 2 are getting stuck into some informative writing to start off this term. Today they have been reorganising facts about camels into topic areas so that they can begin writing informative paragraphs full of interesting facts:
