WHAT'S HAPPENING AROUND LNPS

TEAM POINTS

At Lockleys North Primary School we have four school teams:   Grallina (green),  Malurus (yellow), Brian ( blue) and Pierson (red).

Students are able to earn points for their teams by demonstrating excellent choices with regard to behaviour, attitude and effort in all areas of their learning. Team Points are given by teachers, leadership and the Sports Team Captains.

Points are awarded in increments of 5, 10, 15, 30, 60 and 120 points.  Students earn points by following agreements, making strong choices and living our school values of Pursuit of Excellence, Honesty, Respect and Care and Concern for others.

Examples of living these values include;

  • Being polite and respectful to all
  • Being respectful to the environment
  • Showing genuine care and concern for others
  • Being persistent and not giving up
  • Doing their best
  • Being honest
  • Being a good team player
  • Being brave and taking risks in their learning

Points are accumulated and recorded for the team and also to recognise individual achievement.  Individual Value Awards are given out once a student reaches 50, 100, 150, 200 and 250 points.

The House Point Tally is recalculated and announced at Team Meetings held throughout the term where a shield will be awarded to the team that has the most points in Term 4.

STUDENT AMBASSADORS

Mellor Student Ambassadors have been nominated by their classroom teacher for 2022. Ambassadors demonstrate school values and show leadership qualities.

Students meet fortnightly and are a part of creating new ideas and projects to better the school,  continually  sharing whats happening with classes for the purposes of consultation and feedback, so that the decision-making process is reflective of the entire student body.
