MELLOR BUILDING UPDATE

We have had a great first term in our new building. The children and the teachers have enjoyed the new learning spaces very much. We have all been showing great respect and looking after our new classrooms using the learner agreements.

Feedback from some of the Mellor Children.

Olive, Year 2

What do you like in the new Mellor Building?

I really like the windows in the new building as you can look out to nature. I like the new couches as they are nice and comfy and I also really like the new giant shelves in the corridor - the maker space.

What is your favourite part of your new class?

I like our new locker shelves and the decorations that we made, so that we know where to put our bags.

Any other thoughts?

I have felt really good in our new building. I like it a lot.

Kaden, Year 1.

What do you like in the new Mellor Building?

I like that the new building it is quieter than the library. I really like the new furntiure that we have in our space and I like being so close to the playground.

What is your favourite part of your new class?

I like the new floor and the design - it is soft to sit on. I like the new places in our room - the different areas.

Any other thoughts?

I feel good in the new Mellor Building.

Laila, Year 1

What do you like in the new Mellor Building?

I like that we have new spots to sit in. I also like that it has a couch that we can use.

What is your favourite part of your new class?

My favourite part of the new classroom is that we have the photo of the whole class up. I also like the new doors that have whiteboards on them.

Any other thoughts?

The new building makes me feel happy to be in.

Maverick, Year 1.

What do you like in the new Mellor Building?

I like the new cupboards, chairs and cool couches that we have in our classroom.

What is your favourite part of your new class?

I love the new and soft carpet and the pillows we have.

Any other thoughts?

I like our class photo at the front of our classroom

What do you like in the new Mellor Building?

It's way more comfy that the library and old Mellor building.

What is your favourite part of your new class?

I love the couch and the cool bookshelf because I love reading.

Any other thoughts?

I like being in the new Mellor building because all of my friends are there.

Ryeoto, Year 1

What do you like in the new Mellor Building?

I love the scenery out the big windows.

What is your favourite part of your new class?

I really like our fish tank but I also like the new furniture and the plants. I especially like the new round table.

Any other thoughts?

I like the floor matting. It looks good.

Bradley, Year 2

What do you like in the new Mellor Building?

I like the corridor and all the different tables. I like the theatre room - the media room, sometimes we go in there for Discovery Time.

What is your favourite part of your new class?

My favourite setting in my class is a corner with a small table. You can do Discovery Time at the small table or do some writing.

Any other thoughts?

I felt excited when we first came into the new building. It's good to be here and I like it.

Sadie, Year 2

What do you like in the new Mellor Building?

I like the outdoor decks where we eat our recess and lunch.

What is your favourite part of your new class?

I like everything in my classroom.

Any other thoughts?

I like our new building and I feel very happy being in it. We look after our building by keeping it clean.

Noor, Year 1

What do you like in the new Mellor Building?

I like the new Science Room - I like the long tables in there because there is room for lots of children to sit there.

What is your favourite part of your new class?

I like the new round table in our room because its a round shape.

Any other thoughts?

I feel happy and great to be in our new building.

Alana, Year 1

What do you like in the new Mellor Building?

My favourite part of the Mellor building is the new Science Room. I like the couch in there because its comfy to sit on.

Any other thoughts?

I feel happy and excited now - I like our new space.
