Year 1 Art Gallery: Sillouettes

After creating beautiful sunset backgrounds by blending soft pastels, the Year 1 students looked at examples of silhouettes. The inside of a silhouette is featureless which was a challenge for some of the children as they are used to including so many wonderful details in their drawings! After practicing drawing African animals of their choosing, the children drew their designs on black paper along with landscape elements. The results are beautiful!
