Since our last full newsletter, we have received feedback from students in Years 2,3,7,8,9 & 10 as to what makes an effective learner at Merbein P-10 College. We also received thoughts from 46 families via the Google Form that was put out to our school community last week and we had already collected feedback from our Year 4-6 students. All of this great information was taken to our last professional learning session with Corwin and our 4-6 unit has started to trial ways in which students can set individual goals to further develop these dispositions within themselves as learners.

Once all of this information has been collated we will share the information with our whole school community.

Building Project News

There has been great progress on the Science Centre since our last full newsletter edition, with the roof trusses and framing completed. I have included some current photos of the work below for those of you who may not have seen it. 

Teacher Professional Practice Day Reminder

On Friday 9th September all staff at Merbein P-10 College will be undertaking their Teacher Professional Practice day.  Students do not attend school on this day.

Save the date - Secondary Parent/Teacher/Student Interviews

Interviews for students in Years 7 -10 will be held on Wednesday 14th September in the Blue Learning Centre from 4pm – 7pm. Please keep an eye out on Compass in the coming week for details.
